Preliminary Provisions

Renting a car involves signing a contract that authorizes the temporary use of the vehicle including all other additional services in the price.

Signing the contract by both parties means the full acceptance of its terms on mileage status, fuel level, damages and possible deficiencies of the rental vehicle and other rights and obligations of both parties.

Car Rental Terms

By signing the contract, the lessee confirms the use of the car in optimal condition and equipped with the concerned documentation.

The driver, who rents the car and signs the contract, declares that he has the authority and guarantees his responsibility to the lessor and is responsible for fulfilling all obligations under this agreement.

The user is responsible for traffic violations committed during the term of the contract, even after the end of the contract.

Payment Terms

Upon signing the rental agreement, the customer has the obligation to pay in advance the amount necessary for renting the car on the agreed rate, as well as all daily extras (insurance, additional equipment), and any other possible costs arising from misuse of the vehicle.

The payment can be made in cash, bank transfer or by credit / debit card, in which the prior authorization has been carried out, or any other means of payment agreed by the parties.

Obligations of the Renter

By signing the agreement, the renter declares that he knows all the obligations defined below and accepts them:

• that the vehicle will be returned to the agreed place and date, in the condition in which it was taken, with the amount of fuel with which it was taken, or even before the agreed time at the request of the parties;
• the extension of the duration of the lease, as well as all other changes related to the lease, must be agreed between the lessor and the lessee, at least before the expiration of the lease term; otherwise the lessor is authorized to report that the rented vehicle is missing;
• the vehicle will be used only by the driver or additional drivers stated in the contract, for personal use only, in accordance with the intended use of the vehicle and that the vehicle will not be made available to unauthorized users and third parties;
• to take care of the regular maintenance of vehicles, meaning regularly checking the coolant level, oil level, other fluids, tire pressure, etc.

Based on this contract, the user authorizes the lessor to charge all traffic offenses, as well as parking tickets and other fines, without prior notice, if they result from the violation of the laws and regulations of the Republic of Albania or any other country, and if they were performed during the lease period. These charges will be increased by handling fees and will be charged to the debit or credit card provided on the first page of this rental agreement.

Theft, Accident or Malfunction

In the case of an accident, vehicle damage, theft, engine breakdown or other similar circumstances, the user is required to:

• ensure the prevention of further damage to the rented vehicle until it is taken over by the lessor;
• record the names and addresses of witnesses and participants;
• call the police and provide a log of events, except in cases of motor malfunctions;
• inform the lessor as soon as possible;
• the user of the vehicle is obliged to report to the police any damage done to the vehicle;
• In the case that the user does not provide a police report, does not make a statement and does not provide an alcohol test, all costs of damages related to the damage or lost vehicle will be charged to the user of the vehicle, including lost profits in the amount of daily rent due to not using the vehicle during the duration of the repair, up to a maximum of 30 days.
